About the course
If you want to boost your self esteem and show employers that you can read, write, and understand English, then taking this brush up course could be right for you. This is an ideal refresher course which will help you to polish your key English skills.
Best of all, this course is also available at a range of levels. When you first start learning with us, our friendly staff will help you to work out what level you’re at and point you in the right direction.
You might want to understand the meaning of harder and more unfamiliar words, or you might like to learn how to use punctuation correctly and understand different verb tenses in words such as ‘run’ and ‘ran’. Maybe you’d like to look at different types of texts and learn when it’s right to use paragraphs and headings or to work on your spelling.
Either way, our practise questions and feedback will help you get to grips with any problem areas.
As your skills improve so will your confidence. You’ll even be working towards a nationally recognised qualification which will really help if you’re trying to find a job or get on at work.
By completing this course you'll be working towards our Certificate in Adult Literacy. This is similar to a GCSE, and will show employers that you have the English skills they're looking for.
